International Chinese Association of Computer Human Interaction ("ICACHI") The Chinese CHI 2022 conference will be held in Guangzhou, China, from October 22-23, 2022, in a simultaneous online and offline format.The theme of this conference is.Inclusiveness, Tenacity, New Normal.

We invite practitioners and researchers in art and design related fieldsandStudentsDigital artwork exhibition project at the World Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (Chinese CHI 2022)Submitting digital artwork proposals.The exhibition will be available both on-site and online.

The Chinese CHI 2022 exhibition of digital artworks aims to create a highly inclusive interdisciplinary venue for the presentation of new media art projects, novel interactive technologies, original conceptual designs, intelligent product demonstrations, experimental audiovisual works, explorations of materiality, games or other forms of interactive experiences. Within the framework of the exhibition themeThe goal of this year's exhibition is to foster meaningful exchange among exhibitors in order to enrich, expand or reconfigure the relationship between art, design and technology.

The exhibition will be judged by a committee of experienced experts in the relevant fields (to be announced later).Works selected for the exhibition will be archived in the Chinese CHI 2022 Digital Artwork Exhibition Yearbook, and the author will receive an exhibition award certificate from ICACHI.

  1. The following documents should be included in the initial submission: 
    - Exhibition Proposal (Required): Up to 4 pages of MS Word document (A4 pages) describing the exhibition project and your exhibition plan (references and literature do not count towards the page count)
    - 2 still images of the exhibited items (Required, less than 8 MB)
    - Additional videos about the exhibited items (Optional)
  2. Selected entries will be asked to provide the following documents for promotional and archival purposes:
    - Description of work edited from InDesign templates (to be sent to selected authors later)
    - 2-5 high resolution still images - video presentation (60 seconds)
  3. Please compress your submission into ZIP fileandSend to the following email address.

Attention

ZIP files submitted must not contain any information about the identity of the author. Please and only include your identity and institutional information in the email.

In your exhibition proposal submission, please indicate whether you would like to participate in the on-site exhibition or the online exhibition only. Please indicate how you plan to make the onsite/online exhibition a good experience for your audience.

We also invite authors of accepted papers for Chinese CHI 2022 to submit your prototypes/demos to the Works Exhibition program. Also, the winner of the student competition track will automatically receive an invitation to the exhibition track.

Art Gallery: Call for Exhibition

We invite practitioners, researchers, and students in art and design-related fields to submit proposals for on-site or online exhibitions at the Chinese CHI 2022 Art Gallery track. The theme of this year's hybrid Art Gallery is Inclusiveness (inclusion), Tenacity (resilience), and New Normal (new normal). 

The Art Gallery track of Chinese CHI is intended to be a highly inclusive, interdisciplinary venue for presenting new media art projects, novel interactive techniques, original concept designs, smart product demonstrations, experimental audio-visual compositions, materiality explorations, games, or other forms of interactive experience. The aim is to provoke meaningful conversations that enrich, extend or reframe the relationships between art, design, and technology, in light of this year's This year's theme.

The final selection of exhibitions will be juried by a committee of experienced experts in relevant domains (to be announced later). Accepted exhibition works will be archived in the Chinese CHI Art Gallery Year Book, and their exhibitors will receive a Chinese CHI Art Gallery Award Certificate from ICACHI.

2 Submission Guidelines

  1. Each submission consists of the following components:
    - Required] Exhibition proposal: up to 4 A4 pages long MS Word document describing the exhibited project and your plan for exhibition (not including references)
    - Required] 2 still images of the exhibited projects (less than 8 MB in total)
    - [optional] A supplementary video about the exhibited project
  2. Accepted submissions will be asked to provide additional mandatory components for publicity and archiving.
    - A camera-ready project description in an InDesign template (sent to exhibitor later)- 2-5 High-res still images
    - A video preview (60-second trailer)
  3. Please compress your submission materials into a ZIP file and Send it to the following email address:

The International Chinese Association of Computer Human Interaction (ICACHI) was founded in Austin, USA on May 10, 2012. The Board of Directors is composed of representatives from overseas Chinese who are active in the field of human-computer interaction research around the world. ICACHI is the first purely professional (human-computer interaction) technology organization founded by overseas Chinese that spans the world and transcends geography and region.
